    Not bad not bad at all!

    We went on a sat afternoon and the restaurant seemed a little slow.  I was super hesitated but they had a lot of good reviews and we were hungry, so we decided to give it a try.  And we were not disappointed.  

    Iced mung bean water & spicy pickle cabbage were complementary.  The mung bean water tasted very refreshing and no sugar (maybe very little sugar) added.  The spicy pickle cabbage  was delicious!! The heat was perfect and I couldn't stop eating it!

    For appetizers, we had spicy black fungus, steamed egg w/ minced pork and chill oil chaoshou (wonton).  The spicy black fungus was pickled and added finger pepper which were quite spicy.  So I avoided the peppers and ate everything else! The black fungus was delicious and had a good crunch to it.  Steamed egg was so silky and the minced pork was so flavorful!  Wish they had rice (maybe they do but we never asked), it would be the perfect match for the egg.  I didn't care for the chill oil wonton.  The wonton tasted blend and had no texture.  So weird.  The chill oil was blended.  So disappointed.  

    For noodles, we ordered the house beef noodles (non spicy), spare ribs noodles (spicy) and piquant intestine noodles (spicy).  I made a mistake by eating the spicy noodles before trying the house beef noodles.  I couldn't taste the broth at all.  My bad! But the beef was very tender and perfectly cooked.  

    I really enjoyed my spare rib noodles.  The noodles was al dente, the heat level at medium was perfect for me.  The spare ribs was pork soft bone, meat was tender and the soft bone was edible.  I'm not a fan of intestine but I did have a bite.  It was yummy, it tasted like a piece of fat without the gross smell.  It passed my standard!

    Overall everything tasted above average and price was good.  The restaurant was very clean & new.  The servers were nice & helpful.  Definitely will go back!

    I really like the quality of the food here along with the easy to read and pared down menu.  I like a place that does right by the items it serves.

    The potato appetizer was really interesting.  I've never had cold soft crinkle cut fries soaked in Schezwan peppers and ginger.  Incredible.  Delicious.

    The soups were good too.  Nice aromatic, rich broth.  Well cooked items inside and a nice variety of add-ins to suit your tastes.  

    The water/tea you get works very well to cut down the numbness of the peppers.

    Service is nice here as well.

    its a bit on the greasy side for me. but then again so are all the sichuan food..

    i got the spicy beef noodles, after about 3-4 bites i was already done. like i say its a bit greasy and i felt a little bit heavy.

    i also ordered the wonton w/the spicy sauce. the sauce 10/10 was bomb. the wonton shell was wayyy to thick and doughy, i wish it was thinner. i ended up just eating the meet after the first wonton.

    i guess this place wasn't really my cup of tea.

    Came here on a Thursday night. It wasn't too busy. This place is very authentic. Our server didn't speak the best English. I ordered the spicy beef. It was spicy to me lol. The mung bean soup does really help with the spicy.
    It was very tasty and not salty. The beef did have a lot of fatty parts to it but I didn't mind it because it was so tender. Prices are very reasonable! Would recommend if you want authentic Chinese noodles

    Been wanting to try this place out because of all the reviews. Finally I did today and boy was it a huge disappointment. We ordered the spare rib and the beef noodles. The bowl is full of noodles but very skimpy in the meets. I left a photo of how many bones that was in the bowl. Needless to say, I will never ever be back here. Paying the same price, I get so much more better value at Shang's and magic noodles.
